Die Ärzte – Schrei nach Liebe

Released 1993 and still on of my favorite songs. It’s one of the best known political anthems and anti-fascist songs in Germany.

I don’t usually make posts like this, but it’s sad that this song has become so topical again.
To those who don’t know, there’s a lot of anti-immigration/anti-refugee talk and violence going on right now in Germany and in Europe in general because of the situation in Syria. As a protest to that and to give support to those who need it, this song has topped the download charts 22 years after its release. All the profits the band makes from this song (be it from downloads or YouTube views) are being given to a human rights organisation Pro Asyl which seeks to help refugees and fight xenophobia. As this is the band’s official YT channel and the official video, just watching it will do some good for the situation in Germany! (Even if you don’t care for the cause, the song’s good, I promise.)
