In the winter months, these large herbivores are often found in shallow, quiet waters of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary where seagrass beds or vegetation flourish. Because manatees are slow-moving, they cannot swim quickly away from boats, and boat strikes often injure or kill these creatures. If you’re boating in a known manatee habitat, keep them safe and slow down!

Sometimes, others people’s “opinions” include that you don’t deserve healthcare, you don’t deserve to be able to afford school, you don’t deserve to be able to support yourself even working crazy hours, you don’t deserve to stay in your home, you don’t deserve to be able to exist in a public space, your heritage and history isn’t worth preserving and needs to be bulldozed to fill some rich fucker’s wallet just a tiny bit more, the people intent on hurting you personally don’t deserve jail time and you don’t deserve to be safe from them, or even that you don’t deserve to live. Sometimes, they take these opinions and turn them into law.
Politics controls the actual lives and deaths of real human beings. None of this is some abstract “opinion”. All of this is happening right now.
