redo but with IPA please because is the first syllable in Montreal like /mə̃n/ or /mʊ̃n/ or /mʉ̃n/ or /mũn/ or one of the OTHER sounds that can be represented by “u”. Don’t half-ass correcting me. What’s the difference between “Bay” and “Bey” if you’re saying Beijing? Are there people saying the first syllable like /baɪ/? If so how are we to pronounce the “bay” given for “Dubai”? I’m seriously concerned more about this than is probably rational but I just feel like the waters are now EXTRA MUDDIED.
