Cats actually can tell babies are little humans and as a general rule of thumb they tend to go easier on babies and will tolerate more behaviors they usually do not tolerate in adults. Not only that but many cats can become overprotective of babies and show them a lot of affection. Or if they hate babies they will just hide and run away instead of attacking. Obviously exceptions exist, but I find this proclivity to be so heartwarming
This little guy has been visiting me for a year now. The week I got diagnosed with leukemia he started coming and he seems to know when I need his cuddles the most (he’s got owners btw, just not sure who)
